Zkeletonz shakes FanView Dry (FV Interview, review, and more!)

The DIY, all original, creators to a whole new genre of their own labeled "PostPop", owners of a radio show, and inspirations to FanView across the board is a band who presents themselves as "Zkeletonz". Based out of London the group found each other solely because of a love for music and we cannot thank them enough for recognizing each others talents in order to piece together what FanView would only describe as legendary. The talents names are Gav Venture, Ed Trotter, and Will Taylor.

To better help you understand the magnitude of how tremendously talented this group is, we will start it off by sharing one of our favorite singles they kindly delivered for us! Here is "Always" released 7 days ago!

Dont lie, this brings FanView CHILLZ and we think it will affect you in a positive way as well. Let them know if you like it or love it. Zkeletonz is great at getting back to their fans whom they classify as friends. They notice and appreciate the support we think they deserve so don't hesitate to compliment or comment on your Zkeletonz experience.

FanView got very lucky and was able to ask them all of the questions we have been so curious about! Zkeletonz went above and beyond in their answers for all who are reading. We know you will enjoy these Beyonce and Voldemort references, and oh what is this? something about world domination too!? Ya they definitely kept us wide-eyed and intrigued to read every single one of thehse creative responses that hone such truth and a lot more to look forward to for this band.

FanView's Q's for ZKELETONZ AND OUR FANS!

What is something the band is working on in the studio regarding the overall sound of Zkeletonz?

Building up our synth mountain even higher right now in preparation for an album writing and production camp this July. And learning more all the time about mastering, which is a bit of a dark art! So we’re keen to become total Voldemorts at that.

Have you had a chance to meet fans? Best interaction?

Yeah! We regularly run our own free entry shows entirely independently in London so our fans are friends for sure. We also chill with plenty of fellow artists from our scene who always participate as regular audience members. Like Rihanna enjoyed Beyoncé at Coachella this year but on a smaller more DIY kind of scale.

Any news for the fans in regards to the next big project? Is anything being worked on now?

So much! A remix of our current single ‘Always’ by Bearmuda is out later this month. And a remix of Jazz Mino’s new track ‘Warriors’ by us at around the same time. The next full rather than art-based animated music video is almost done. That will launch our 1st ever EP which we are gonna release track by track over Summer 2018.

How did you come up with the name “Zkeletonz”?

Because everyone is the same inside regardless of their colour, sexuality, class, and stuff they choose to do in life. Our anti-prejudice message is embodied in that plural noun. Archaeology and anatomy also just interest us.

Any advice to other artists regarding your take on the music/global industry today and a peek into the way you guys stay connected to the real people and fans?

Remember to stay creative. Always be thankful to fans and open to new friendships. But don’t get too distracted by marketing. Our embrace of digital technology has been profound and it’s something we have started to grapple with more philosophically. What is the best role for all of these devices and their capabilities to play in our project? We’re now leaning towards a strong preference for treating them as a means of production, not communication. That said, Instagram, emails, the whole online community! Just, wow! It’s great at providing access to new people and artists who you can collaborate with, or just get to know.

Best Coffee in town?

In our London neighbourhood we recommend The Bach on Hoxton Market or Long White Cloud on Hackney Road when we’re often seen crouched above our laptops plotting world domination, UK first.

Which remix is Zkeletonz most proud of?

Whichever is being released next or we finished most recently. Because the POSTPOP sound and genre that we pioneer is always developing and improving. We also believe in focusing on the present to make sure we enjoy it.

New rising artists that you think deserves more attention and why?

Lejon and Jazz Mino are making excellent forward thinking electronic pop in London. There’s a guy called Where’s Ed? making more retro new romantic synth-based stuff in Cardiff, Wales. In the USA, Nation of Language are killing it right now.

We know LCD Soundsystem and Future Islands are a couple of the bands favorites, Do they inspire the music?

They influence us to some extent. But we wanna do something totally futuristic and new. To be honest our personal listening tastes are super diverse. They range from metalcore to minimalist classical to psychedelic hip hop. But we feel under constant pressure to name check artists whose fans might like us!

Where do you want to see the band in 5 years?

Ideally on festival stages in Europe and North America with more of a secure baseline operations infrastructure as a band. So better transport, nicer places to stay on tour, and more recording equipment and cameras and software and hardware we need to be creative. We don’t expect our approach or ethos to change much in future, just the crazy circus around it!

FanView likes to title the new music coming out today as A New Sound Era. With all the mixed genre music and artists it’s hard these days to classify some modern sounds as just one genre. PostPop is a perfect addition to what were trying to explain as A New Sound Era and Zkeletonz falls perfectly in the category as well which proves our point.

Do you agree that music today has a new versatile aspect where a lot of bands cant be labeled as one genre or type and why do you think this is? (new technology for music come into play

They totally agreed and advised to make this the title to our coverage!

Advice for FanView, a small but mighty fan-based music blog that wants to make a difference in the industry and be a success for the bands and their fans?

No advice needed! Just keep doing what you're doing you guys are great!

Who out of the three band members would be most likely to get left at a gas station on tour and who would have been the driver to take off and not realize?

Our singer Gav would definitely get left behind. He’s easily distracted! He would get caught up dancing around the convenience store aisles and looking at the produce. Will, who plays guitar and keyboards, would drive us away. He’s definitely our strategic decision making leader. He would be too focused on the next big venue!

Which artist would leave Zkeletonz starstruck after walking by them on the street?

Chromeo

How great is this band for putting their all and passion into these answers for FanView and our fans?! They blew us away and it's not going to be the first occasion with a North America tour in mind and much more content coming soon! FanView is already looking forward to all that they have to offer including those new remixes mentioned featuring their fellow artists like,

Jazz Mino and Bearcuda! (Check these guys out if you enjoy genre-bending and music innovating bands like Zkeletonz!)

FanView Review

Femme is hitting the charts as well so we wanted to get her fans in on Zkeletonz with this remix. The funky vocals and soothing melodies that provide a head-bopping jam for all music lovers to enjoy. We cannot even explain these brand new sounds and combinations of multi-genre sonics, so let your ears pick up the slack FanView was unable to properly deliver.

Zkeletonz just leaves us baffled with how they can put together new and old sounds creating more and more music that classifies as its own genre, PostPop. Yes they are in a league of their own, nothing can compare. They came up with this through recognition of what FanView has written about and labeled as A New Sound Era. This is something that music has acted on the past few years where we think technology and innovators are making changes to the dull labeled music industry we knew up until recently. There is more to music than single genre-d artists and songs. FanView will be hitting more on the New Sound Era to help you better understand what were talking about but back to the band that gives us even more to live for.

Lastly, we wanted to speak on their reasoning for the bands' name because it is just another aspect that draws FanView even further in their fandom. "Zkeletonz" is a huge reminder for us all that we all share one thing in common and that is a skeleton behind the race, culture, colour and sexuality. We are all the same and Zkeletonz hopes to bring fans and people together through music and equality with this mind. This message is one for everybody and a constant reminder to be patient and love all for who they are because in the end we are all made up of the same anatomy and bones just innocently looking for love and happiness in a sometimes frightening world. In todays' society we think this is such a relevant and easily forgotten lesson so if you want to cool off and need to find more greatness in the world just plug in some headphones and listen to "Trouble" a Vogue.Noir X Zkeletonz remix providing a house vibe that pairs with influential lyrics about the skeleton in all of us.

Thank you so much for getting through this proudly presented FanView X Zkeletonz interview along with our band/song reviewage. FanView was so honored to be able to have this opportunity because of how inventive, aspiring and amazing the people are that are made up from these talented bones. The three anatomies and bone structures that curates Zkeletonz gets us dancing and smiling from malleus to malleus (look it up if the reference went over your zkull, we think Zkeletonz would appreciate it(; ) and we hope you are provided with the same feelings towards them after this article.

FanView wants to also thank our feature bands like Zkeletonz and their fans for believing in us to make quality content for them and will stop at nothing to get it out for the world to enjoy!
